Celebrated Kenyan experimental artists Ng’at Maler and [MONRHEA] release their first collaborative project.

Speaking about how their unique project came to be, Ng’at Maler shared, “During the Santuri Electronic Music Academy (SEMA) advance course, one of the tutors, Hendrick Sam brought his microKORG synth to class. He then left it for some days in the Santuri studio and I took the opportunity to record sounds with it.”
[M] added, “When I came to the studio, Ng’at Maler proposed to work together on the sounds. We continued collaborating together and eight months later, three tracks bloomed to create the EP; You Are The Creator. The EP features “Oh My Korg”, “Thaai” and “You Are The Creator”. While Oh My Korg and You are the creator are more rhythmic, Thaai blends the bassy and melodic sides of experimental music.
Ng’at Maler and [M] are both enthusiasts of each other's works through their DJ sets and music productions. This collaboration was long overdue having first met in 2019 through the Nairobi Ableton user group, the two artists are both very excited to share their creations
