I worked on this music at the end of 2021 when I was moving around a lot on tour supporting an artist. I got a lot of inspiration from the music we were playing but wanted to make something different in my downtime. Here is some music from a point where I found peace in solitude, some moments of being honest with what I made and having no expectation on how it will be received.
Much time has passed but still, this transports me to the feeling of exploration and no fear of being tied to outcomes out of my control. I tried to limit what I edited from the first take and left a lot untouched.
I used some field recordings collected on the streets of Nairobi, my home, and some hotel balconies.
